Complete Surrender

The artwork here is inspired by the following thoughts:
Jesus is to be our model for how we live our lives, from the moment of our rebirth to our last breath.
In the Word there are subtle examples of His loving surrender to serve us as He showed tender love to those around Him and there are quite bold events that show us the most difficult examples of complete surrender from the Garden of Gethsemane to the cross itself.
Surrender is there when asking the Father to take this cup from Him if He was willing, yet Jesus submitted to His Father’s will. Out of Grace the Father sent an angel from heaven to appear to him and strengthen Him.
“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. (Luke 22:42-43NIV)
Jesus, even after being strengthened by an angel was still in anguish. In Luke, 22:44 it says;
And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. {44 Some early manuscripts do not have verses 43 and 44.} (Luke 22:44 NIV)
His sweat was like droplets of blood. If you research this you will find this to be scientifically possible and totally incredible. Literally drops of blood.
Finally, in full surrender to the Father, He allowed Himself to be hung on the cross, enduring pain we cannot fathom in our wildest thoughts, the crown of thorns causing droplets of blood drip down His face.
Having believed Him dead the Roman soldiers had one task left, to prove death. The usual way to do this was to break the legs of the prisoner. With Jesus the soldier chose another way, he stopped, took his spear and thrust it into the side of our Lord leaving a gaping hole where His blood and water burst forth falling onto the ground.
Then they came to Jesus Himself: but when they saw that He was already dead, they refrained from breaking His legs. One of the soldiers, however, made a thrust at His side with a lance, and immediately blood and water flowed out. (John 19:33-34 WNT)
If you have given your heart in full surrender to the Lord for your salvation, then use His life and His death as a model to show complete surrender to your Lord.
